Friday, March 23, director Meredith Walraven loaded up the buses with over 60 Planoettes to drive to Denton to perform at the Univeristy of North Texas in order to compete for the guilded title of National Champions. For the fourth year in a row, the Pride of Plano struck gold and did not disappoint. They not only came out on top as National Champions of the District but they won several other awards including:

1st place- officer lyrical dance

First runner-up- officer contemporary dance

6th place- overall position

National champ duet- Madeline Kinnaird and Julia Goebel

7th runner-up solos finalist- Maroon Guard Nicholas Kao

8th runner-up solos- Julia Goebel, Alex Hill, Alessandra Morales

2nd runner-up- Morgan Ericson

All-American Kick Company- Hannah Daniels

1st runner-up- Officers

1st place- Elite Team
