The Boys’ Swimming and Diving Team finished 4th at the State Championships on Feb. 21 and the 22.

Previously the mens’ and womens’ swim teams competed in the regional swim meet on Saturday, Feb. 8 with the mens’ team finishing in first place and the womens’ team finishing fourth, at the Rockwall ISD Aquatic Center. Certain mens’ team members advanced to state, which was held at the UT Austin Campus.

Both senior Kyle Whieldon and sophomore Duncan Lee led the team. Whieldon placed 2nd in the 200 Free and 9th in the 100 Free. Lee placed 4th in the 200 IM and 3rd in the 100 Fly. Junior Axel Osborne placed 6th in 1-M Diving. Senior Jacob Camp, Lee, senior Carter Constien and Whieldon placed 2nd on the 200 Free Relay. Camp, Lee, Constien and Whieldon also placed 6th on the 400 Free Relay. Senior Kendra Kieser placed 3rd in 1-M Diving.
