Former Disney star embarks on music tour
November 2, 2016
Olivia Holt, former Disney star turned hit pop vocalist, announced that she will be venturing out on a nationwide tour this November.
After Holt released her debut EP Olivia with Hollywood Records in July, she shot to the top of the charts, debuting at number 19 on the Billboard New Artist Chart as well as number 34 on the Billboard Pop Chart. This, along with the May release of her debut single “Phoenix” that peaked over three million views, kickstarted the onset of her successful career in the music industry.
Holt’s tour is sponsored by Neutrogena, who recently disclosed the 19-year-old as their newest brand ambassador. Beginning Nov. 4, Holt will launch into her tour across 11 cities throughout the United States. She will perform at multiple venues, including a performance on Nov. 6 at a popular music venue in Deep Ellum known as Trees.
Tickets went on sale to the general public on Sept. 16 and are still available for purchase. Tickets were made easily accessible on Holt’s official website, http://www.oliviaholt.com/events.
The tour announcement was made during “Patio Sessions,” a new AXS video series that streamed live on Facebook, after her performance at The Roxy in Los Angeles. “Patio Sessions” offers lovers of live music exclusive and personal footage of bands and musicians.
“I feel lucky to have this opportunity and to be able to explore different cities and perform my new songs. I’m so excited and I can’t wait to see everyone at my shows,” Holt said.
With over one million streams on Spotify and an overall following of nine million people on social media, 2016 is proving to be an engaging year for this gifted and accomplished artist. At this rate, there will be no stopping this young virtuoso from breaking records in her future.
