Senior Connor Reed, whose hair is known as “Sweet Flow,” shaved his hair today during B lunch to support the Muscular Dystrophy Association. PALS organized a fundraiser to help send Jacob, a child with muscular dystrophy, to camp. Each of the Mr. Plano contestants were divided into four teams and were in charge of raising money for Jacob. The team with the least amount of money was to put their names in a hat, and the name drawn had to have their head shaven.
Reed talked about his luscious locks throughout the Mr. Plano pageant, ironically finding out he had to say goodbye to them at the end when their names were drawn. The boys only needed $800 in order to send Jacob to camp, but ended up raising over one thousand dollars. Although Reed may miss his blonde curls, Jacob is fortunate enough to have the opportunity to go to summer camp this year, thanks to PALS, the Mr. Plano contestants, contributors, and Sweet Flow.
