Retiring teacher: Valerie Krajcir

Q: What are you going to miss about Plano the most?

A: The people. I work with a lot of great people and they’re fun to work with and we have relationships. So once I leave, I’m sure I will stay in touch with some of them, but there are others that I won’t and I will miss them.

Q: What do you look forward to most about retiring?

A: Being able to sleep in past 6 a.m. I’ve been working here since 1994.

Q: Do you have any special memories?

A: One year while my daughter was here, it had to be 2003, I can’t remember if it was for homecoming or not. It was a pep rally and a lot of teachers were involved with it and we called it ‘floor flopping’. I did that and we spelled out ‘Plano’ on the floor of the gym.
