Volleyball season is back in full swing. With seven games played so far, the Lady Wildcats have already won four. Beyond their on-court accomplishments, the team is known for its strong connection to the community. They’re more than just a group of athletes—they’re a close-knit family built on trust, communication, and mutual respect.
“Winning a volleyball game requires full participation from everyone on the team. From the managers and bench players to the starters, everyone’s contribution is vital,” varsity player Destiny Seaward said. “When we’re all working together and giving it our all, we can achieve great things on the court, win or lose.”
In addition to their games, the team participates in local events and fundraisers, showing pride in and support for the Plano community. They stay connected through sand volleyball games, team dinners, and summer camps. This combination of athletic strength and community spirit makes the varsity volleyball team a cornerstone of the school’s athletic program.
The team has been working hard every evening to prepare for the season ahead. “Even though districts have just started, we’ve been preparing and working hard every evening for these games,” junior Neela Jackson said. “We did great during our pre-season tournaments, and we can’t wait to see what districts hold for us.”
The Wildcats’ deep bond not only improves their performance during tournaments but also creates an unbreakable connection that compels them to push through challenges together. This unity has made them one of the most cohesive teams at Plano Senior.
Jackson shared her excitement about being part of the team. “The Plano Senior volleyball team has been a great experience and opportunity to be a part of.”
