Wildcat Robotics advances to FIRST World Championship

The Wildcat Robotics team advanced to the For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST) World Championship after competing in the Dallas FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) Regional at the Irving Convention Center on March 26.

The team, a first-year participant, received the Rookie All-Star Award at the competition, allowing them to progress to the World Championship in St. Louis, Mo., held from April 27 to April 30.

The team won four of their five qualification matches at the Regional, qualifying them for the semifinal round. The team was paired with Haltom High School and Cross Roads High School for the semifinals, losing both semifinal matches that they participated in.

Overall, the team finished their 11 total matches with a ranking score of 15th and a final rank  of 24th out of the 43 competing teams.
