Choir will hold its winter concert in the school auditorium on Dec. 11 at 7 p.m. All parents, teachers and students are invited to come and enjoy the holiday music.

According to choir member junior Riley Bert, everybody can relate to the performance.

“We will be singing tons of great holiday songs,” Bert said. “From classics like ‘Little Saint Nick’ to ‘Carol of the Bells.'”

The Vines and Clark choirs will additionally be performing.

It’s not easy to walk in front of a group of people and start singing.

“I’ve never been a part of a concert this big before,” Bert said. “But I’m glad I finally get to see what it’s like.”

Junior choir member Rob Jackson is also preparing for his first concert of this magnitude.

“I’m trying not to even think of all the people that are going to be there,” Jackson said. “It’s extremely nerve-wracking just talking about it.”

As the concert date keeps getting closer, Jackson said he continues to try to shake off the nervousness and focus on singing.

“It’s not easy to walk in front of a group of people and start singing,” Jackson said. “Especially when all you can think about is them judging you for every little thing.”

This will be the last concert before winter break for the choir department.

“I am really excited to present this concert,” Bert said. “This is one of our biggest concerts of the year and we will make sure we impress everybody in the audience.”
