Seniors, this is how you checkout

Grace Tsichlis, Staff Writer

This year, graduation will take place at the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco on June 10 at 2 p.m. To make sure all goes smoothly before then, this is what seniors need to do.

  1. Pick up a senior checkout form in subschool between May 26-30.
  2. There is a mandatory graduation rehearsal for all those who plan to walk on May 30 at 1:15 p.m. in the gym.
  3. The students must have their teachers sign the form before completing the checkout process with the counselor. Teachers will sign the form after the completion of their exams.
  4. From May 31-June 2, seniors must meet with their counselors to properly check out. Outstanding fees must be paid, and only cash is accepted. Counselors will then give students their graduation seat assignment and 8 guest tickets.
  5. On June 10, students must be in line at the Ford Center to be seated by 1 pm. Students need to wear appropriate dress clothing with the maroon cap, gown and tassel. If students are not dressed appropriately, they will not participate in the ceremony. Honor graduates may wear the white stole, but no other decorations are allowed. Phones and purses are not allowed with the student during the ceremony.
  6. Diplomas can be picked up starting on June 12 in the front office (Fishbowl). Graduates must present their student ID. If a parent picks up the diploma, they must have picture ID and signed note from the graduate allowing them to pick it up.
