Mr. Debate: Rishi Patel

Q: What qualifications or talents do you have? What do you do?

A: I can rap. I like sports, basketball and soccer. Music is big, I like music a lot, and cars, too. I’m looking forward to the performance part of it, getting to do something fun in front of everybody. I can’t reveal my ideas yet.

Q: Do you have a specific dream car, or a favorite?

A: My favorite is probably my car, a 2002 BMW 330i. The thing that I like most about it is that it’s a stick shift. That was my goal in my search.

Q: What is your idea of the perfect pizza?

A: Chicken, has to have chicken. Sometimes I dabble with the mushrooms. It’s odd, but it’s good. If not that, then a meatlovers pizza is the way to go.

Q: If you could only have one food for the rest of your life, which would you choose?

A: My grandmother’s pasta with ragu sauce. It is so good. She’s from Italy, and she makes a family recipe, and it’s the best thing I’ve ever tasted in my life. I go back to Vermont every summer, which is where she lives, so if I’m there for a week, I’ll have it every day.

Q: Would you rather live in Vermont, or here?

A: That’s a tough question. Now, that’s a tough question because I have friends here. If you had asked me that question like two or three years after I got here, I definitely would’ve said Vermont. Now, I don’t know if I could do it.

Q: If you could pick one person from history and have them answer any question truthfully, who would you pick and what would you ask?

A: It’d be cool to talk to an old school hip-hop legend. Like Tupac, The Notorious B.I.G. I’d probably just make conversation with them, but it’d be funny to just talk to them.
