On Fri. Oct. 31, 2025, consider it as a full circle experience for the players on the field of Clark Stadium. Plano Senior Highschool’s varsity football team shocked every Wildcat: students and staff to parents, as they won 21-16 against Rock Hill Highschool, making the 6A playoffs officially. With the win, Plano closed out the regular season with a 6-3 win to loss ratio, the highest the team has seen since 2017.
Though the entry came as a minor surprise, the 2025-26 season has been a success for Plano. The team remained victorious through more than half of the games played. This game in particular had most fans packed in the stands, decked out in pink to support breast cancer, but also to support their beloved Wildcats as they took on one of the most important games this season.

The Terrifying first half
In the first quarter of the game, Plano’s defense struggled to keep the Blue Hawks down the field. Many attempts were made for a touchdown on Rockhill’s offensive side, but the attempts were cut short on the Wildcats 30-yard-line and forced a field goal for the Blue Hawks. Within this quarter, Rockhill’s defense spared no mercy for the maroon and white and left Plano 0-3 for that quarter.
With hope in the air, Plano continued to choke as the second quarter began with Rockhill scoring a touchdown and landing a field goal making the game 0-10. One highlight for Plano was at the 2-minute mark, where number 5 Braelyn Alexander caught an interception in Plano’s endzone and overall turned over the game. This play was exciting for fans but overall did not do much for the Wildcats as Rock Hills defense was putting up a strong fort and stopped Plano’s offense around the 20-yard-line. With a failed field goal and only 34 offensive yards accumulated over both halves, the game became scary for Wildcat fans with some starting to exit the stadium during half time.

The Superior Second Half
Whatever was said, whatever was done in the locker room during the half time performances was exactly what Plano needed. To open the 3rd quarter, the team came out relentless with back-to-back touchdown drives.
In just six plays, Plano exceeded its entire first half yardage with district star running back Chance Culley gaining most of those yards. Over the span of the game, Culley recorded over 131 yards and gained a rushing touchdown after completing a 4th down conversion, helping to put points on the scoreboard. Wide receiver Kaedyn Brown was also notable on the offensive end with one receiving touchdown. The two are seen as Plano’s “dynamic duo” with the help of quarterback Cj Smith.
Also, during this quarter, defensive players number 42 Paris Walker and 21 Joe Camacho rushed past the Blue Hawks O-Line and sacked quarterback Nate Vincent several times. Additionally, Camacho showed versatility when he joined the offense and received 37 yards leading the Wildcats to yet another touchdown, ending the quarter 14-10.
The fourth quarter was a continuation of the new energy Plano brought in the quarter before, with the offense and defense continuing to play like their lives were on the line. Brown scored for Plano again, with a 4-yard rushing touchdown putting the Wildcats in the lead 21-10. But for Rock Hill, the game wasn’t over. The Blue Hawks quarterback, Vincent threw a 30-yard touchdown to wide receiver Leo Williams, adding to the scoreboard.
