Kid Ink album review: “My Own Lane”

Kid Ink has done it again with a new album called “My Own Lane.” Kid Ink’s new music on the lyrical side has never been huge until this point, but he certainly displays his real talent on “My Own Lane.”

“No Option” is a great song that finds the inner side of Kid Ink. It has a double-time flow as he brags about his bankroll and money before Los Angeles. It also has a nice smooth melody that jumps in to keep the rhythm of the beat alive.

The 27 year old rapper also offers a moment of emotion on “No Miracles,” which features the Cleveland bad boy Machine Gun Kelly and the gorgeous songstress Elle Varner. The lineup of artists on this record may seem kind of weird, but they each play their role for an impressive performance that’s a killer banger.

Ink takes the opportunity to show his fans what he has done and how he has improved over the past years. “Just look into my heart you can see the grind, look into my eyes you can see the pain painted a perfect picture where I came from some nights when I thought I wouldn’t see the sun,” he raps. His determination to succeed and shine bright shows on “No Miracles,” a banger that proves to be a standout cut that shares a different shade of the rappers.

Despite this change, Ink has now set his standards higher. This album is a classic and will do really well on the charts.
