Wildcat Tales: How would you describe yourself as a person?
Binna Kim: I would say that I am definitely an optimist. It does end up biting me in the butt sometimes, but I feel like looking at the brighter side of things always helps me in the long run, in any situation.
Wildcat Tales: What do you do in your spare time?
Kim: Basketball has been a huge part of my life ever since I was 5, so, of course, that takes a lot of my time. Aside from that I am also super involved at my church and love volunteering there whenever I can. My church is basically my second home.
Wildcat Tales: Do you have any weird talents or hobbies that most people don’t know about?
Kim: I love baking. I’ve recently graduated from baking from the box to baking from scratch. I love the way baking can change the whole atmosphere of a home. Cookies baking in the oven have this weird kind of magic that can brighten up anyone’s day. Who doesn’t love baked goods fresh from the oven?
Wildcat Tales: What do you like about Plano?
Kim: I love how weird it is. Honestly, what kind of school has a whole week dedicated to their ducks? I also love how hard every student works at our school. I think that is the reason why we end up with so many of the accomplishments we have in so many different areas. I learn every day about amazing awards some club earned. It’s really awesome.
Wildcat Tales: Why would you like to be SCP?
Kim: I feel like the position simply gives you an ability to influence your class. Hopefully mine will be directed towards giving every student the chance to be as involved in the school as they want. I ultimately want every future senior to have the best year of his or her life at Plano. That would be my dream goal.
