Junior Maggie Cross got involved in newspaper because of her passion for writing; in a perfect world she would be a fiction novelist. She thinks of being a part of newspaper as a way to further her skills and practice writing. Cross is a member of the Junior Varsity Volleyball Team and works at Starbucks. One of Maggie’s many strengths is talking to people. She genuinely enjoys connecting with others and listening to them, which makes her the perfect interviewer. After high school she hopes to become a clinical psychologist. This work would deal with people that have been diagnosed clinically insane. Her goal in life is to die knowing she’s done something meaningful that changed the world for the better.

Theres a ma and pa and then brothers and sisters and we all individually have researched an ancestor who we are walking for. So we read their stories to kind of get a glimpse of what adversity they went through. Photo submitted by Elaine Moon.
